Knit Construction
What it is: One continuous yarn is looped repeatedly to create rows of braids. Think of it like braided hair—flexible and stretchy.
Why we use it: Knit fabrics provide natural stretch, which helps the fabric mold to your body. Knit structures are often soft-to-the-touch and comfortable.
Used in: Most training tops, tights, compression wear, sports bras, and base layers (BioPoly, BioFlex, BioFleece, Hydro, All Weather, Premium Custom)
Woven Construction
What it is: Multiple yarns cross each other at right angles to form the grain of the fabric.
Why we use it: While wovens don't naturally provide stretch, they drape beautifully on the body and are often crisp, holding creases well. They offer superior structure and durability.
Used in: Shells, shorts, joggers, and outerwear that need durable structure (FormFlex, AirFlex)
Technical Note: We select the proper construction depending on what we want to accomplish with each garment—knits for flexibility and comfort, wovens for structure and weather protection.
