Used these shorts for months, same material, am going to keep using them for a long time . Bought multiple pairs to use for endurance sport including their light weight compression shorts I am using in warmer weather. Due to the 30% lycra content being very adaptive but still serious compression, medium to heavier weight material, these shorts have the potential to deliver even medical grade compression depending how tight you go. I was able to squeeze into a small being a bit into the low end of a medium; the high compression levels have been working great during workouts. I keep saying you have total range of motion even if you increase the compression through sizing, the material will just move with you. My experience is the tight feedback you get lets you know it is working keeps you motivated, keeps you ready be warm and ready. There could be 10 benefits to these shorts but keeping it locked in, loaded, and ready for the explosive or even more slow twitch movements the best they can.
I used these for 3 months in a wide variety of riding, distances, intensity levels, and temps. I used these Virus comp shorts a lot on longer rides as well, layered and on top. These seem to merge with any kit either way, I was happy. Understanding the high compression levels I can be in to functionally improve works plus how nice it is to work out in, knowing where you are moving at all times. Not overly compressive and a good fit. I’d say the sizing is right on, larger than other brands, but good for my sport of stand up paddling and outrigger canoe.

Bought a pair of AU9 tights (L), and Racer Tech tights (XL), both way too short. I bought the AU9s on sale so I'm stuck with them. Fine, I get it.
But I made a refund request for the Racer Tech tights and was rejected out of hand, and I am not sure why. So I'm stuck with 2 pairs of tights that I can't really use. It's a shame, because they are well made and nice looking., and I was excited about getting them.
